Training Programs
General PhilosophyAll Dallas Texans SC, Austin Division, training programs are based upon the idea of "Possession with a Purpose." Fundamentally, this means that we want players to technically and tactically possess the ball, individually and collectively, while also being technically capable to play directly as game conditions dictate. Training ProgramsDTA Select Teams: Dallas Texans Austin Division offers an excellent competitive select soccer program designed to develop and prepare the player to compete at all levels of competition. DTA's proven training program is designed by its highly experienced and qualified professional Directors of Coaching. The select program also includes the College Mentoring Program which provides 8th grade and older players with everything they need to be proactive in the collegiate soccer recruiting and placement process. DTA Academy Teams: The Dallas Texans Austin Division Academy Program is designed specifically for U9 & U10 recreational soccer players who are ready for advanced training. The Academy Teams compete in the Capital Area Youth Soccer Association (CAYSA) Recreational Plus league. All coaches adhere to a calendar of weekly topics which they are to cover, supplementing the specific training needs of each team. While Rec Plus is still recreational soccer and absolutely fun, it is designed for players with higher commitment and desire to develop technically and tactically in preparation for select soccer. Select and Recreational Goalkeeping Training: Goalkeepers are provided specific training, offered twice per week for both JR’s (Travel Team/U11-U13) and SR’s (U14 and older). Recreational players receive training once per week. Private Soccer Training: The Elite Soccer Academy provides private and small group lessons are conducted by various DTA training staff for an additional fee.
